Day hike at Georgia's Little Grand Canyon. Just another reason we love working in education. It's great to spend a whole Christmas break together doing fun stuff like this! Don't get me wrong, there are times during these long breaks that I could pin these kids up by their toe nails. We've learned it's best to keep them BUSY! And tire them out!

Hamp's First Dance Recital
We had our first official experience with the ASOD Recital. Wow! I have to say, Sarah, the owner, does a fantastic job organizing, decorating, costuming (if that's a word), and putting on the show. I'm pretty sure every person in Thomaston was in attendance. This is just another reason we love living in a small town! The traditions even with the twice-a-year dance recital are really neat to first of all LEARN (like, you don't have to wear your leotards during rehearsal week, and you MUST have flowers for the dancers), and to second of all be a part of. Great job all you precious dancers, teachers, and Sarah! And to my Hamp, you stole the show (at least in Mommy's eyes)!

Thanksgiving Holidays
Well, we are sadly coming to a close of a busy but great nine days off (except for the tummy virus that hit everyone but Jeremy, as usual). We've had Whit's birthday party, Thanksgiving with both our families, Big Papa's 90th birthday party, the Pink Pig, cut down the Christmas tree, art projects, breakfast with Santa (that was my virus day), and we wrapped it all up by lighting the first candle of the Advent this morning at FBC. Going back to school tomorrow will be tough for all of us, but on the bright side, only three weeks until Christmas break!
Hamp was TERRIFIED to say the least! |
OK, feeling a little better about the big guy in red, but I'm still not sitting on him! |
